We are NexaFlow.

NexaFlow was started in late 2021 in Lisbon’s LX Factory by Aris Theodorakis, a former staff engineer at a logistics unicorn in Athens, Inês Carvalho, previously product lead at a Lisbon fintech, and Daniel Okonkwo, an engineering manager from a Berlin developer-tools company. The three had collaborated on an open-source incident-response tool and kept hitting the same wall in their day jobs.

Work was drowning in async handoffs scattered across Slack, Notion, Jira, Linear, GitHub and a graveyard of Google Docs. Stand-ups had become status theatre. Specs lived in three places. Engineering managers were copy-pasting the same update into four tools every Friday afternoon.

The first prototype was built during a five-week sprint in January 2022 and dogfooded immediately. Helio Labs signed as design partner number one in March 2022. By the end of that year there were 38 paying teams across Lisbon, Athens, Berlin and Tallinn, and a seed round led by an operator-led European fund.
